Montgomery Thompson (Artistic Director - Emeritus)

As founding Artistic Director of the Caribbean Dance Company and School, Monty’s vision, dedication and commitment to the preservation, education and presentation of West Indian Culture has been the guiding force behind the organization for over 48 years. He moved to St. Croix more than four (4) decades ago after receiving dance training in Trinidad, Boston, New York and Mexico.

Though recently retired, Monty’s influence continues to inspire our community through the legacy of dance education and training that is evident in every class, performance and student who was privileged to train with the Caribbean Dance School!
